ARSSM Board of Directors

The Board of Directors oversees the activities of the Romanian Association for Occupational Safety and Health (ARSSM) and contributes to the development of projects, initiatives and programmes dedicated to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and related disciplines.

The members of the Board bring together extensive professional experience in industry, research, education and management, contributing their expertise to the strategic development of the Association and the promotion of best practices.

PhD. Eng. Adrian Ispăsoiu

Professional Profile

PhD in Industrial Ergonomics, occupational risk assessor and researcher specialising in ergonomics, with extensive experience in occupational risk assessment and management, the development of risk assessment methodologies, and the implementation of projects focused on prevention and the continuous improvement of working conditions.

Areas of expertise

Industrial ergonomics, occupational risk assessment, risk management, process safety, occupational accident investigation, health and safety coordination for temporary and mobile construction sites, as well as ergonomics and human factors.

Professional activities

Since 2009, he has delivered professional education programmes for Occupational Safety and Health specialists and Health and Safety Coordinators for temporary and mobile construction sites. He is also a lecturer in World Bank programmes and provides specialist training in internationally recognised methodologies including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, FMEA, ETA, FTA and RCA.

Research

His research focuses on industrial ergonomics, occupational risk assessment and the application of artificial intelligence to improve Occupational Safety and Health performance. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers published in international journals and conferences, and the developer of the MERP, ERAI and EWRA methodologies, as well as professional software solutions for risk assessment and risk management.

She delivers the workshop “Scaffold Safety and Accident Prevention When Working at Height”, focusing on specific risks, preventive measures and best practices for organising construction activities safely. Through her work as a lecturer, she contributes to the professional development of Occupational Safety and Health specialists and to the practical implementation of prevention requirements in the construction sector.

Eng. Adina Romașcanu coordinates the ARSSM Professional Education Department and plays a key role in the planning, organisation and delivery of the Association’s professional education programmes. Through her experience in coordinating educational and administrative activities, she contributes to maintaining high quality standards and ensuring the efficient operation of ARSSM programmes.

Professional Education Coordination

She plans and coordinates the activities of the Professional Education Department, overseeing course organisation, collaboration with lecturers, training schedules and all operational stages required for the successful delivery of ARSSM professional education programmes.

Participant & Lecturer Support

She ensures effective communication between ARSSM, lecturers and participants throughout the entire professional education process. She also coordinates the administrative activities related to registrations, programme information, documentation and course delivery, helping to provide a well-organised and efficient learning experience.

Contribution to ARSSM

Through her work, she contributes to the continuous development of ARSSM’s professional education programmes, ensuring their operational coordination and maintaining effective collaboration with lecturers, participants and partner organisations involved in professional education.
